Eyebrow microblading is the art of creating fuller thicker eyebrows through the use if a manual tattooing technique. The process involves the application of detailed, fine lines on the eyebrow area that effectively mimic the natural color and fine hairs that form the eyebrow. First, a fine scalpel or blade is used to make fine, microstroking incisions on the skin in a shape and form that has been predetermined by the microblading specialist and the client. Next, ink or dye is placed on the area that effectively soaks into the tiny incisions, creating a tattoo.

Strokes/combo eyebrows after care:

For 7 to 14 days following application of semi permanent cosmetics:

Applies to all clients: Do not touch the healing pigmented areas with your fingers, they may have bacteria on them and create an infection. During the first 24 hours, we ask the clients to not do anything to the eyebrows. Leaving the brows completely alone to allow skin to close. After 24 hours wash off the barrier cream that was placed at your appointment with warm water.  This will be the only time that you wash your brows, until scabbing is completely gone. No washing or oil during this time. You will experience some dryness and scabbing which is normal do not peel or pick. No make up on brows, tinting of brows, sun, soap, sauna, steam, exercise, Jacuzzi, swimming in chlorine or salt water pools or in the ocean for 7 to 14 days (until areas completely healed) post procedure and after all touchups. Do not traumatize or rub the procedure area while it is healing, pigment may be removed along with crusting tissue. No Oil, Neosporin, A&D ointment, Vaseline or Aquaphor. Understand that everyones skin is completely different. Your skin may reject the ink in certain places requiring you to get a touchup appointment after brows are fully healed. This is an additional cost based on the time frame. Additional touchups after initial procedure may be required to fully lock in pigment to certain areas of brows. No washing of the brows during the whole healing period of 7 to 14 days.

DRY SKIN CLIENTS:

We still recommend a dry heal. Do nothing to the brows at all. If they are overly ashy or flaking and you absolutely must, you can apply:

  • Grape Seed oil
  • Sweet Almond oil
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Coconut oil-absorbs into the skin without build up

OILY SKIN CLIENTS:

Your aftercare is very simple, you are going to leave your brows alone for the next 7-14 days. No washing, no touching, no picking or pulling of dryness or scabs, and no applying of oils or lotions. Let everything heal on its own.

Following all of these aftercare instructions will yield the best results possible and increase the longevity of the pigment. ENJOY YOUR NEW BROWS!!!
